Shadows and Silhouettes

Shadows are the dark areas where a light source is blocked by an object. Shadows change shape, intensity, and even colour along with the angle, direction, and temperature of light. By playing with light and shadows, you can create different effects and moods in your images, such as drama, mystery, warmth, or contrast. For example, you can use backlighting to create a silhouette effect, or use side lighting to create a sense of depth and volume.
