A subset of both landscape photography and nature photography, forest photography is, as it sounds, pictures of wooded areas. It may seem simple, but it’s a unique and challenging type of photography to learn and master. Forests are considered visually messy. They are made up of different elements from sticks to stumps and rocks, leaves, rivers and moss. A single tree or small set of trees with strong visual form can also be considered.
