Abstract or ICM

Abstract photography consists of images using shape, form, colour and line to create a composition which exists independently from the visual references of the physical world. The forms you use to create the image should hopefully be unrecognisable and show your unique perspective...and do not need to be referenced for others to enjoy the image. An ICM image is created using intentional camera movement with the use of a slow shutter speed. Using this camera technique produces images that often resemble paintings similar to the impressionist or expressionist style (where the form of the subject is still recognisable)..  as well as the abstract style - (where the image is intentionally ambiguous and unrecognisable)
